San Francisco Electric Tour Company is the first and only company to offer tours of the San Francisco waterfront on the world's first and only self-balancing electric transport mechanism, the Segway®.
Riders receive a 20 to 30 minute training on how to safely operate the Segway®, The tour explores the San Francisco waterfront for a full two and a half to three hours. The Segway® expands the amount of ground a person covers from a few blocks to six to eight miles.
Tours begin at Fisherman's Wharf and cover the Cable Car turnaround, Ghirardelli Square, National Maritime Museum, the historic sailing ships, Fort Mason (former military base, now a historic landmark), Marina Green, Palace of Fine Arts (once the site of the 1915 Panama Pacific Exposition). Tours include views of Alcatraz, a WWII submarine at Pier 45, the sea lions at Pier 39, the Aquarium of the Bay, the Cruise Ship Terminal and Historic Piers, and the recently restored Ferry Building at the foot of Market Street. Refreshment breaks and photo stops are included.
Guided tours depart daily at 9:15 am, 1:15 pm, and 4:00 pm (4:00 pm departure available in summer season only) from Fisherman’s Wharf. Fees are $70.00 per person (includes helmet and training) and reservations are required. Riders must be ages 12 and up; people under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Tours are limited to ten riders.
Riders must be over 100 pounds and less than 250 pounds.
Other custom tours are available for corporate and private groups.

There are many great rides in the Bay Area, including rides for all levels and interests. Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito, return by boat The most popular ride includes the bike path over the bridge, beautiful bay and city views, shopping or touring Sausalito and a return trip by ferry. Time: 40 minutes cycling, 2-4 hours round trip.

Mt. Tamalpais Incredible views over looking Pacific Ocean, bay and the city. 38 mile ride, 2500 ft. climb. 4 hours cycling, 4-6 hours roundtrip. The most popular tour is the Downtown Loop, a 90 minute Hop On - Hop Off tour of the highlights of San Francisco. Tours are fully narrated and tickets are valid for 48 hours. You are free to get on and off at any of our stops throughout San Francisco.
The Golden Gate Tour includes two photo stops, at the Palace of Fine Arts and Vista Point on the north side of the Golden Gate Bridge. The fully narrated tour lasts around 90 minutes.
The Night Tour includes the highlights of San Francisco by night and includes a walking tour of Chinatown.City Sightseeing is the number one operator of double-decker tours in the world. The ultimate way to see a new city is from the top deck of an open-top bus. Sightseeing tours are narrated and you can Hop On and Hop Off at multiple locations throughout the destination.
