This tour is awesome and we were happy to choose a catamaran for our bay cruise instead of those crowded ferries and motor boats. I found it especially awesome that the catamaran slowed down and stayed quite some time around the golden gate bridge. This was an awesome view!

I booked the Catamaran Bey Cruise for mom mom's birthday. The cruise sailed out from Pier 39 and around Alcatraz, past the Marin Headlands, under the Golden Gate bridge, and back. The process of booking the tour was easy, and the tour staff were professional and pleasant. The catamaran is quiet, stable, and pretty, and you get to be close to the water (they have webbing between the front keels, so you can sit on that and watch the water go by beneath you)! A great time was had by all. I highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants more adventure and smaller crowd than the ferry, but isn't up for a sailing yacht tour. Dara G., United States, 09-2010

We had a wonderful time! The trip length was appropriate, space was plentiful, and the staff was really professional. I'm a SF native taking a first time family USA visit from Sydney, Australia. I've done the other SF Bay Cruises and I personally like this because there's something about being under the sails of the catamaran. It was relaxing and less crowded which gives the ability to move around the vessel for photo ops. We had a great ride on the Catamaran tour. We met up with a SF native who told us that we had a great captain that day who knew how to maneuver the boat well and took us places by the bridge that other captains don't often do. This is a excellent tour. The sailboat was excellent and was great to go on deck and see the sails. The ninety minutes was a perfect time, with beautiful scenery and time to interact with crew and other passengers. Crew was very friendly and informed. The satff was very courteous and knowledgeable. You will have a great time on this almost private tour of the Bay and Alcatraz, sail under wind power, and enjoy the sun. Both exposed and protected seating is available, and the group size is very small compared to those big blue boats. What a gorgeous ride! (A perfect, fog-free day didn't hurt either!) The boat was very smooth and sailed professionally, the cabin large for ducking out of the wind, and it gave us views of the Golden Gate Bridge that we would get nowhere else. This was my ninth trip on the Adventure Cat & I had just as much fun as I did on the first trip. This outing has the most reasonable price and is one of the best kept secrets the city of San Francisco has to offer. What other tour would present the opportunity to see the Golden Gate Bridge from below? I have personally brought more than 30 people with me to experience this WONDERFUL tour on the San Francisco Bay & I shall continue to bring others as there is truly no better way to see the the bay than to be out in the middle of it.
