This was the second time I was on this tour, brought my brother and his family on it this time. There seemed to be a scheduling disconnect with the tour guide and we had to depart without her (with just the driver) until we got to the base of the bridge at the outskirts of the Presideo where she joined the tour. We had a great time overall. A fun tour over the Golden Gate and around Sausalito and back. Informative too. It's cold on top of the fire truck, especially going over the bridge, so be prepared. They provide hats, gloves and fireman jackets. You don't get a choice about where you sit. Seating is assigned and you are buckled in like a child. I understand the need for safety, but allowing people to buckle their own seat belts would be a bit more respectful. The tour seems to be geared more for kids than adults, although adults will have fun. There is singing that seems more appropriate for kids.Anne W., United States, 10-2010

The SF Golden Gate Fireman Tour is a must if you're ever visiting San Francisco. Both Madeline and Robert the owners/tour guides are very hospitable, entertaining, and just outright fun and very friendly tour guides! Tours depart from The Cannery at Fisherman's Wharf located on Beach Street at the foot of Columbus Avenue. Easy to reach by the Hyde Street Cable Car or the "F" Line vintage trolleys. Parking Garage located directly across the street (can not accommodate oversize vehicles).
