This combined tour on double decked bus is the best way of discovering downtown city of San Francisco, and the Golden Gate Bridge. After that, you can go by yourself where you are the most interested in. A special thank to the guides, who know a lot of details about the city history and the city today life, who are easy to understand even for someone who is not native English-speaking (as I am !). And specific congratulations to the guide of the Golden Gate bridge tour who was absolutely perfect. The only point to keep in mind is to arrive 15 minutes in advance, to be sure to have a seat up in the bus (and not under), because the upper deck was full even before departure, and as first arrived people are first (and best) served. Otherwise you would have to wait for the next one, as being on the upper deck is really something not to miss (and especially for the GG bridge, when the wind is blowing eastwards the marine layer !).Georges M., 249, 08-2008

We did the tour during the warmest weekend in San Francisco so it was fantastic. Although the tour guides were not as knowledgeable as I had anticipated them to be, it was pleasant enough. The hop-on hop-off feature made it extremely easy to move about the town at my own pace. I also took the golden gate tour and loved it. Alternate Departure Location:
Guest may board the Downtown Double Decker Bus at Union Square under these conditions: The driver will allow you to board the bus with your printed E-ticket Voucher. The driver will not collect your E-ticket. Guests are asked to disembark the bus at the Fisherman's Wharf Stop, 2800 Leavenworth Street, and exchange their voucher at the tour office for the actual tickets, which will allow 2 day use. Simply wait for the next bus, leaving every 30 minutes, to continue your loop or tour. Meet the double decker bus in front of Macy's on the Geary Street Side. This is convenient for guest staying in Downtown Hotels.
