the audio tour of Alcatraz and the bay cruise was excellent. it was very descriptive and easy to follow. it added am excitement that i could not imagine when i booked the tour. This combined tour on double decked bus is the best way of discovering downtown city of San Francisco, and the Golden Gate Bridge. After that, you can go by yourself where you are the most interested in. A special thank to the guides, who know a lot of details about the city history and the city today life, who are easy to understand even for someone who is not native English-speaking (as I am !). And specific congratulations to the guide of the Golden Gate bridge tour who was absolutely perfect. The only point to keep in mind is to arrive 15 minutes in advance, to be sure to have a seat up in the bus (and not under), because the upper deck was full even before departure, and as first arrived people are first (and best) served. Otherwise you would have to wait for the next one, as being on the upper deck is really something not to miss (and especially for the GG bridge, when the wind is blowing eastwards the marine layer !).Georges M., France, 08-2008

We did the tour during the warmest weekend in San Francisco so it was fantastic. Although the tour guides were not as knowledgeable as I had anticipated them to be, it was pleasant enough. The hop-on hop-off feature made it extremely easy to move about the town at my own pace. I also took the golden gate tour and loved it. Ticket is valid for 2 consecutive days of Hop On Hop Off Downtown Loop and any one of the departure times, within the 2 consecutive days, for the Golden Gate Loop Tour.
Board at either of these 2 Convenient Departure Locations:
- Union Square: Meet at Union Square in front of Macy's on the Geary Street Side.
- Fisherman's Wharf: Ticket Office at 2800Leavenworth Street, San Francisco, CA 94133 between Jefferson and Beach Streets.
Parking: Paid parking and limited metered parking are available in The Fisherman's Wharf Area. For guests that are driving we recommend driving to Fisherman's Wharf to meet the tour and not Union Square.
Handicap Accessibility: Buses are not handicapped accessible. Wheelchairs and motorized chairs cannot be accommodated on the buses.
