The experience I had with the staff was wonderful. Our tour guide was Calleigh (uncertain on spelling), light brown hair, blue eyes, freckles... her monologue sounded great both times I heard it and it was definitely entertaining. I learned a few things about the city I didn't know, some fun stories to tell. My only complaint is when my mother and I tried to hop on at Chinatown on day two, we waited for over an hour and no bus came. We took MUNI instead. It was very disappointing and made the value feel over priced. What's the point of the pass being valid for two days if the service is unreliable? 15-30 minutes is what is advertised. So, yay for entertainment, boo for schedule error.

This tour is pretty good. The buses don't always provide the best view--sit on top near the back if you can. The knowledge of the tour guides can be luck of the draw, but it is nice to have a real personality giving the tour. The guides and drivers are all very nice and will do their best to let you on and off the bus where you want. The tour route gives you a good overview of the downtown area.

while the experience was quite good, I cant say the same for the guide (narrator). the only professional and very entertaining guide was this fiesty young girl, who was dramatic and very informative. the other oldies were disinterested and perhaps tired. they did try though.

While it is possible to hop on/off, from a practical standpoint it doesn't work especially well because you don't know when the next bus will come by and sometimes there is a long wait for the bus to take off after you board.

The tour we took was perfect for the time we had available for sightseeing. The tour covered all of main highlights of the city and offered photo opps as well as hop on hop off stops if we were interested in spending more time in a particular area. The host was very knowledgable and made the tour fun.

The Double Decker Hop on Hop Off tour is a great way to see San Francisco. I did this tour during a day long layover in the city. I did the tour on a chilly day and it was really nice that they provided blankets for everyone riding on top of the bus. The only complaint I have is that the stops are not clearly marked outside of Fisherman's Wharf and Union Square. For example, I stopped to walk around Chinatown. There are two Chinatown stops, but since I couldn't find the second stop, I had to walk all the way back to where the bus dropped me off.

The tour guide and the driver were above what I saw in Hospitality industry .And I am working in the cruise Industry in management... Unfortunately I don't remember the name of our guide I apologize to her and to you. However it was an Irish/British lady ( Susannah???)full of joy and passion and one very smiling face Filipino gentlemen (I guess. ) Really good team.We are from Europe and I will strongly recommend this tour most of because of the presentation made by your guide and also the interactive part of the driver. Thank You for everything.

Good tour for first timers-if it's your second time or been there a lot this tour would not be for you. I go to San Francisco at least 3-4 times a year and for the price and what they let you see it is worth it. It is one of the cheapest tours you will find for adults and kids. I even learned a few things on the ride. They do stop too long I think in Union square but thats the big drop off and on point. This tour is great for first-timers to San Fran. Take the downtown tour first. Cold on the top of the double decker bus,bring a coat (or sweatshirt) and if not wearing pants bring a blanket for your legs even if the the sun is shining!! They do have a couple cheap cheap thin blankets on board. My next tour would be the duck quacker land and sea tour as they say that one is good also. Also try the G0-cars as they are really fun and 2 hours you will see a lot of San Fran and it's talking guided.

We rode the tour bus twice. The first time was with a male guide who was very entertaining. The second time with a female guide who was nice but didn't name the stop we wanted. Later, we waited at the stop and flagged the drivers to get back on a tour bus, but the drivers didn't stop and we had to walk back to our car. We used similar, better and excellent systems in London and Madrid.

The Tour was very fun. The tour guides were very knowledgeable of San Francisco. The sound on the tour was not consistent on various buses. It was hard to hear the guides speaking upstairs on the bus.

A group of 15 of us took the City Loop tour on the double-decker bus in July 2007. The tour started on time, the tour guide was witty and informative, and we all thoroughly enjoyed the tour, both from below and up above.
