Agriculture of Salinas Valley and resorts in Monterey. Pacific crashing on the cliffs at Big Sur. Mansions and a Castle of Dreams. On Tuesday after the Hearst Castle tour you travel to San Luis Obispo for an overnight stay. Leave the following afternoon via Amtrak to Los Angeles.

DAY 1: San Francisco to Monterey 154 Miles

Leave San Francisco around 9:00am. Driving south along San Andreas Fault then west to the Pacific Ocean down Highway One you go through Santa Cruz. Miles of artichoke and strawberry fields by the Monterey Bay, home of Fort Ord where armed forces once trained now students prepare for their future at California State University. Going through Monterey we stop at Cannery Row around lunch time and optional visit of the world renown monterey bay aquarium. Driving along stops are made at: Pacific grove, 17 mile drive, Pebble beach, Carmel by the Sea for about an hour. Check-in to the hotel, the Bay Park Monterey Hotel, by 5:30 p.m.

 

DAY 2: Monterey to San Luis Obispo 148 Miles

Check out of your hotel and drive along Coastal Highway 1 through Big Sur whcih offers panormaic views of the Pacific Coast. Along route enjoy views of Coastal Redwoods and San Simeon. Upon arrival at Hearst Castle partake in a Tour of Hearst Castle. This tour is ideal for first time visitors. At the end of the tour we leave Hearst Castle and head to San Luis Obispo by 3:30pm.

Hearst Castle Tour: On this tour you will see

We arrive in San Luis Obispo by 3:30pm. The central coast is home to some of the best wineries in california, a stop is made for a short tour and wine tasting. Check-in to the hotel, La Cuesta Motor Inn, San Luis Obispo, by 5:30 p.m.

DAY 3: San Luis Obispo to Santa Barbara 95 Miles

 

We leave San Luis Obispo and we drive about an hour south to Solvang, a delightful village of Danish Heritage with pastry and gift shops galore. Next its on to Santa Barbara for a short visit and here we end the Motor Coach Tour. Hightway traffic is now avoided as you board the Pacific Surfline Train headed to Los Angeles. Board at 2:00pm and arrive in Los Angeles Union Station at approximately 4:55pm. Alternate means of transportation is the Santa Barbara Airbus Motorcaoch.

Cancellation and No Show Policy:

Cancellation 21 days before tour date will incur a $50.00 per person cancellation fee. Cancellation 3 - 20 days before the tour date will be charged 50% of the tour cost. Cancellation within 2 Days of the Tour Date is non-refundable. No Shows are charged 100%
