Set along San Francisco’s historic waterfront, Teatro ZinZanni is a bewitching evening of European Cabaret and Cirque, Divas and Madmen, Spectacle and Sensuality with Live Music and a Gourmet Five-Course Dinner – set in the nightclub of your dreams!

Teatro ZinZanni was created by Pacific Northwest non-profit arts and events producer One Reel in 1998 and enjoyed a sold-out 14 month run in Seattle before bringing its antique “spiegeltent” to San Francisco in 2000, now located at its permanent home on Pier 29 along The City’s Embarcadero.

Teatro ZinZanni breaks new artistic territory with this intoxicating blend of interactive theater, spectacle, fine arts and fine dining, put together under the artistic direction of One Reel's Norman Langill.

The ever changing cast at Teatro ZinZanni features world-class practitioners of some of the oldest and most time honored traditions in entertainment.  It is truly an extraordinary ensemble, of a caliber unlikely seen anywhere else in the world.  We know you will enjoy the distinctive magic that is created by these incredible talents with fine cuisine and lively music presented in our intimate “jewel box” venue.

Teatro ZinZanni presents HEARTS ON FIRE: February 4th - August 16th 2010

Featuring featuring disco diva and Grammy Award® winner, Thelma Houston as Madame ZinZanni, owner of the jewel box theater. The show also features the outrageous Christine Deaver and the incomparable, “rock your mundo, baby!,” El Vez. A joyful love affair of the spirits conjured up by Madame ZinZanni, Hearts on Fire will put a spell on you and take you on a magical ride with soulful music, romance, dance, and comedy.

First Course: Cowgirl Creamery Mt. Tam Brie, Caramelized Onion & Apple Chutney Marcona Almonds & Crostini

Soup: Roasted Acorn Squash & Curried Apple

Salad: Spinach & Marinated Fennel Feta Cheese & Champagne Vinaigrette

Entrée:

• Braised Short Ribs of Beef Yukon Gold Mashed Potatoes & Sauteéd Blue Lake Beans -or-

• Maple Glazed Roasted Chicken Breast Wilted Braising Greens, Sweet Potatoes & Parsnip -or-

• Porcini Wild Mushroom Farro Risotto Broccolini & Shaved Parmesan Cheese

Important: Menu and beverage selections are subject to change without notice. Each course is served at your table and service is completely intertwined with the show. The vegetarian entrée is available upon request—please indicate that request to your server as you are seated.

 

A full selection of cocktails, fine wine, domestic and imported beer, champagne, cognac and after-dinner drinks is available in the lobby and at your table.

There is a $12 per person dining room service charge that has been included in the ticket price. Your ticket purchase includes dinner and the show—gratuity and beverages are not included in the ticket price.

January - December:Thursday - Saturday at 6:55pm and Sundays at 5:55pm. Doors open 1 Hour Prior.

Reservations:

 

Reservations are highly recommended. For weekday performances you typically should purchase one week in advance. For weekend performances, two weeks in advance is advisable.

Parking:

The following is provided for informational purposes only: it is not a recommendation. Parking is available in many public lots along the Embarcadero, including Pier 27/29, (cross streets are Battery and Lombard on the Embarcadero with the lot entrance at pier 27 across the street from The Fog City Diner), and is $15.00 per car. There is street parking in the surrounding neighborhood. Be advised that meters and parking restrictions are checked frequently and parking tickets are expensive in San Francisco.

This lot is leased by Central Parking from the Port of San Francisco; Teatro ZinZanni has no control over, nor is it responsible for the actions of individuals approaching patrons on property accessible to the public.

 

Dress Code:

Our dress code is business casual to formal wear, retro chic to elegant. (Please, no sweat shirts, shorts, t-shirts, jeans or tennis shoes). Madame ZinZanni loves it when people dress up so feel free to use the evening as an excuse to have fun and dress to the nines!

Photography:

Pictures may be taken in the lobby bar ONLY. No pictures may be taken in the main performance tent. Please be advised that Teatro ZinZanni is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Seating:

You and your guests will be seated restaurant-style at tables and in booths in the antique cabaret tent imported from Belgium just for Teatro ZinZanni. The tent is circular and intimate (it seats around 285). The action of the show takes place all around the restaurant and is visible from all vantage points in the room. Seating is arranged by the Maitre d’ who assigns your seats the night you attend, “restaurant style.”

Children:

For safety reasons, we do not admit anyone under the age of 5, with or without a ticket. Babes-in-arms are also not allowed. Please be advised that the 3 hour show and 5-course dinner can be long for younger children. We do not have a children's price or menu for our evening performances. Please ask about children's special pricing and menu for the brunch performances.

Vegetarian Menu:

Our entire menu can be made available to meet the needs of vegetarians. Note as well that we always feature a Vegetarian Entrée that is available to all diners. Your dining room server will be happy to arrange for all courses to be served vegetarian. Please inform him/her once you have been seated at your table. We also have vegan menu items available upon request. Please, just ask your server.

 

Payment:

Your credit card will be charged the total amount of products and services selected at time of booking. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover Cards.

Confirmation & Travel Voucher:

This ticket must be booked at least 24 hours in advance of your travel date. Your confirmation for this product will be received within 12- 24 hours subject to availability. For every confirmed booking you will receive an e-mail with a link to your E-Ticket Voucher. Print vouchers on your home/ office printer. Please present this E-Ticket voucher at the Box Office. Only one voucher will be created per tour or activity for all travelers.

Cancellation and No Show Policy:

All sales are final. Tickets are non-exchangeable or refundable.

Seating will be pre-assigned by Maitre d. You may be seated with others. Please notify box office in advance if you would like to be seated with another party that purchased tickets separately.

Ticket price includes dinner & performance. A $12.00 per person service charge has been included in the ticket price. An additional beverage gratuity of 18% will be automatically billed to groups of 8 or more.

Babes-in-arms or children under the age of 5 will not be admitted.
