Avoid the tour buses with this exclusive, luxury SUV tour. We avoid the crowds on this trip, visiting many of the smaller wineries in Napa Valley.

Your expert guide will help with recommendations for Winrery tours and tastings and special requests are usually possible. The itinerary is open, usually involving 3-5 wineries with a lunch stop in St. Helena or Rutherford in Napa Valley. Maximum seating for 6 guests.

The tour will return to San Francisco at approximately 6:00 PM. We are happy to take winery requests and will do our best to honor them if made two weeks in advance of the touring date.

Lunch reservations and arrangements in Wine Country will be made by your driver or by advance request. Wine Tasting fees and meal cost is not included in tour. Note: Some wineries do have complimentary tastings. This is not a private charter and groups will be combined.

Your visit to the Napa Valley

Heading eastbound from the city, the Napa Valley is located just under a one-hour drive from San Francisco. Crossing the Bay Bridge and passing Treasure Island, our adventure finds us in the East Bay of the city. Following a short interstate drive, you'll quickly notice the change in landscape as the rolling hills of the wine country appear in the distance.

The Napa Valley's climate and soil have made it one of the world's greatest wine growing regions. It has long been know for its ability to grow Bordeaux grapes such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc. It was later discovered that the southern part of the valley, particularly the "Carneros Region" next to the San Francisco Bay, was ideal for growing the grapes of Burgundy including Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.

Enjoy a full day of wine tasting and touring in the country's premium wine making region. Your day will begin by crossing the Golden Gate Bridge and driving through scenic Marin County. After passing through the Carneros district of Sonoma we arrive in southern Napa.

Napa Valley is home to over two hundred wineries, offering world class quality wines and incrediable scenery. Your knowledgable tour guide can recommend winery visits and photo stops but the itinerary is at your discretion. An average tour will include 3-5 wineries with tastings and a production tour.

Please call us well in advance to schedule private tours or visits to 'appointment only' wineries. Also you can add your winery requests to the online form.

The luxury SUV seats up to 6 people in comfort. Complimentary drinks are available on board as well as a variety of CD's and DVD'sfor your enjoyment. This is not a private charter and groups will be combined.

Departure Point and Time:

Tour departs at 9:00 AM from the CitySightseeing Tours office located in the heart of Fisherman's Wharf.

Look for red awning mid block on 1st floor - Tour Check Desk. Please meet at the address at least 15 minutes prior to departure.

Hotel Pickup:

On request basis at time of order. We pick up at hotels in the major tourist areas of San Francisco. Pick up from Airport and outlying areas is not available. San Francisco Hotel List

Return Details:

Tour concludes at the original departure point in Fisherman's Wharf.

Children and Seniors no additional discounts. Must be 21 or older for Wine Tasting.

Confirmation & Travel Voucher:

For every confirmed booking you will receive an e-mail with a link to your E-Ticket Voucher - when your booking is confirmed. Print voucher on your home/office computer. Please present this E-Ticket voucher at the Tour Office.

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellations within 24 hours of the tour are charged in full. Cancellations prior to 24 hours are charged a $10 per person administration fee. No shows are charged full price.

Lunch reservations and arrangements in Wine Country will be made by your driver or by advance request. Meal cost is not included in tour.

This tour must be booked at least 24 hours in advance of your travel date. Your confirmation for this product will be received within 12- 24 hours subject to availability.

Recommended for all tours: Comfortable shoes and a extra layer of warm clothing.

Weather permitting. If seasonal fog obscures the view, tour route may be altered.

Cancellation and No Show Policy

Cancellations within 24 hours of the tour are charged in full. Cancellations prior to 24 hours are charged a $10.00 per person administration fee. No Shows on tour dates are charged 100%. Some specific tours and activities have a higher cancellation fee due to the limited space available.
